Hong Kong Peak Competition: 1983. Small, in association with Joe Madda, designed this project for an international competition. He used cargo containers, which he describes as "modular sort of 8x20's", and clipped them together to form a building. The construction would be based on the body of a sea dragon, and furthermore, the colors would change at night in a sea-like color scheme. The structure was powered by solar collectors along the roof, and the ramp that arches along the top of the building was meant for public access, although the building was private.
