San Francisco Fountain: 1965. Also known as the San Francisco Plaza Enhancement. Designed for an international competition, Glen Small describes this particular model as "his personal design project of universal beauty...a walk through a glass winged fountain in front of San Francisco City Hall." He conceived this fountain quite early in his career, yet it displays themes that continue to occur in his work, including sensuality and the concept of living architecture. "Water accentuates form and cascades on glass wings....while capturing the essence of sensuous architecture that flows, scintillates, and uplifts as one moves through it."
